Memorabilia-Ancestor Quilt
This is a spiritually based quilt workshop in which we will commemorate those who have gone before us OR celebrate any significant occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. We will assemble a very small quilt (approx. 12"x14"), using significant fabric, such as from old clothing, neckties, etc. and sewing it to a photo transfer (of the honored person) as a beautiful border and then layering it with batting and backing. Then we will finish by attaching memorabilia, such as buttons, beads, old jewelry, labels from clothing or silk flowers by hand sewing or gluing. We will close with a ceremonial circle of gratitude and Blessings.
