Make a wonderful fantasy portrait quilt! Start with a very simple drawing of a face (like kindergarten) on an 8 inch square of paper. this will be repeated 9 (or 16) times using a basic machine applique technique. We will be using fusible interfacing to anchor the pieces. It will be similar to putting a jig-saw puzzle together 9 (or 16) times! (But we will be using fabric) Then we will use the satin stitch on the sewing machine for the applique. You can finish your quilt with buttons for the eyes, etc. This will be a workshop dealing with a specific quilt making technique which can be followed like a recipe. You will have a completed quilt top (or a good start) by the end of the workshop.
