Quilt Preparation

1. You supply: top, backing, and batting for your quilt. If you are out of the area and need to mail your quilt to me, let me know.

2. If your quilt is not perfectly straight, it may not look perfect after quilting, but I'll do my best to make it as beautiful as possible!

3. Please mark the top of your quilt top, and the top of the backing, so that they can be quilted in the right direction.

4. Please press your quilt and trim loose threads.

5. Tops that do not lay flat sometimes have puckering & tucks. Your top does not have to be perfect, but the quilting may not be perfect either. I'll work with you!

6. The batting and backing you provide should be 3-4” larger on each side than the top.

7. For best results, use quality, 100% cotton. But any kind of fabrics will do. If you use recycled synthetic fabric, always be sure and leave plenty of seam allowance in your piecing to prevent unraveling while quilting.

8. I like Warm & Natural Batting, although almost any batting can be used. But I do not recommend the really thick kind made for comforters.

9. For quilting, I charge per square inch, see “Pricing” page.
