1. You supply: top, backing, and batting for your quilt. If you are out of the area and need to mail your quilt to me, let me know. |
2. If your quilt is not perfectly straight, it may not look perfect after quilting, but I'll do my best to make it as beautiful as possible! |
3. Please mark the top of your quilt top, and the top of the backing, so that they can be quilted in the right direction. |
4. Please press your quilt and trim loose threads. |
5. Tops that do not lay flat sometimes have puckering & tucks. Your top does not have to be perfect, but the quilting may not be perfect either. I'll work with you! |
6. The batting and backing you provide should be 3-4” larger on each side than the top. |
7. For best results, use quality, 100% cotton. But any kind of fabrics will do. If you use recycled synthetic fabric, always be sure and leave plenty of seam allowance in your piecing to prevent unraveling while quilting. |
8. I like Warm & Natural Batting, although almost any batting can be used. But I do not recommend the really thick kind made for comforters. |
9. For quilting, I charge per square inch, see “Pricing” page. |
