Drawing printed onto fabric, some commercial fabric, thread, beads, acrylic paint, machine pieced, machine applique, machine quilted. Each small red shape is completely covered with red thread stitching. I really like the New York Beauty quilt I saw at the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles from the show of Bill Volckening 's quilt collection a while back. I made another quilt, which I'm calling "San Jose Beauty" I made a drawing of the basic block and also drawings of the sashing and small connecting blocks. The side borders are printed from another of my drawings.
